Mandatory Annual Compliance for Food Manufacturers

All FSSAI State and Central licensed manufacturers, importers, and relabellers must submit their Annual Return in Form D1 on or before 31st May of every financial year.

Key Information Required in Form D1

  • Name of the food products manufactured/imported.
  • Quantity produced/imported in Metric Tonnes (MT) or Litres.
  • Selling price per Kg or Litre.
  • Source of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Export details if applicable.

Late Filing Penalty Provisions

Delay in submitting the annual return attracts a penalty of ₹100 per day of delay up to a maximum penalty as per FSSAI enforcement rules. Avoid penalties by filing early on FoSCoS portal.
